Dibbern's history

In the 1970´s, the first collections of Dibbern china, glass and cutlery products were designed and manufactured exclusively in Europe.

The final breakthrough for Dibbern to establish a name as a top lifestyle brand came in the eighties with the successful china series Solid Color: currently, the series is available in 35 different colours and with around 45 articles per colour provides a whole host of combinations to suit each and everyone’s taste.

Solid Color’s award-winning natural style originates from the 1930´s; the contemporary design of this series is created by introducing an ever-changing palette of new colours which in this day and age are still delicately applied by hand.

One of the most significant steps in the company’s history was the takeover of Germany’s first private china factory in 1997. The plant was founded in Hohenberg in Bavaria in 1814.

To this day, our premium Fine Bone China is with very little exception a hand-made product.
